There is a great deal of concern over what children are being exposed to in public and private schools and businesses that require their employees to undergo Diversity and Inclusion Training: the WOKE movement of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; Critical Race Theory; LBGTQ+; Parent’s Rights being undermined by Teachers assisting children in Transgender Transition; Non-Binary; and an appointee to the SCOTUS that could not define “woman.” How many times, in connection with the aforementioned circumstances have you heard the question, “what is happening in this world?”
Individuals are having a difficult time processing the moral ramification of society and asking themselves the question, “What can be done?” or “What are we supposed to do?”
Changing the course of society may come, or it may not (in our lifetime). According to CBS Morning News “Advancements in fertility treatments and the expansion of medical insurance are leading more women to choose to become single mothers.” It seems there is no end to the attacks being launched against the family structure. This, however, is not a new concept. Page upon page could be written (and has been written) on efforts to destroy the family structure. Therefore, a couple of quotes will suffice: “Lenin, and later [Joseph] Stalin, determined that in order to maintain control of the people it would be necessary to completely destroy the family and restructure it…This statute, along with the communist encouragement of sexual immorality during marriage, approval of abortion, and forcing women out of the home into the workforce, accomplished its purpose of destroying the Russian family” (Mikhail Heller; The Marketing of Evil, David Kupelian). “British anthropologist John D. Unwin (1835-1936) conducted an in-depth study of eighty civilizations that have come and gone over a period of some four thousand years. He discovered that a common thread ran through all of them… In most cases, that civilization fell within one generation of the fall of the family unit” (Google it to get the rest of the story).
So, what can be done?
- Men: learn what it means to be a man, a husband and a father.
- Women: learn what it means to be a woman, a wife, and a mother.
One of the problems we have in society is that many men and women were not taught how to fulfill their duties in life and thereby do not have the knowledge to pass it on to their children, etc. Lord willing, we’ll deal with this in depth later. As for now, obtain the knowledge if you do not have it, and teach it to your sons and daughters.
John Addams said, concerning the constitution: “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”
But, more importantly, Moses told Israel: “Jehovah our God is one Jehovah: and thou shalt love Jehovah thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be upon thy heart; and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up” (Deut. 6:4-7).
